A Certified Full Charge Bookkeeper is a national  standard set by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. To become certified a bookkeeper must know basic bookkeeping and accounting before undertaking certification. They must pass a  rigorous national exam at Prometrics Test Centers, have at least 3000 hours of on the job experience, sign a code of ethics and constantly update skills by earning 20 continuing education credits every year.
